This press was formerly used by McDonnell Douglas with production rate of 1 mm part details per year (2 – shift – 5 day operation). The press has had a clear performance record, but has been properly disassembled by SPS, removed from service and stored due to company decisions to out source sheet metal formed parts. The press requires a special foundation / pit (estimated @ 48" deep)
Notes: For your info. there are several Siempelkamp presses within the aircraft industry … notably Fokker, Airbus (Bremen) & Westland Helicopter (UK). SPS is available for re-installation, has maintained this press & assured us of a successful start-up. Moving costs may be significant considering the weights of the 3 principle components:[ 120,000kg, 88,500 kg, & 67,500 kg ]
